The second edition of the helpline was launched during the second wave of the pandemic and initially catered to assistance to senior citizens regarding vaccination. The volunteers were trained to assist in online & spot registration and helped senior citizens in travelling to and fro to the vaccination centre. With the onset of the second wave of the Covid-19 virus, the helpline expanded its scope of work and included more volunteers for assistance in bed booking for COVID-19 patients. Our team was in direct contact with the zonal war rooms and helped many citizens by bridging the gap. To date, Covid Raksha 2.0 has received over 5000+ calls from across the city of Bengaluru. The team is also backed by experienced doctors who supported the volunteers when required through teleconsultation.
