Issue: Financial Constraints
In response to financial constraints faced by underprivileged children aspiring for education, the "Namo Vidyanidhi" initiative offers scholarships of ₹10,000 each to 10,000 meritorious students. These scholarships are paid directly to the respective schools, ensuring financial assistance reaches those who need it most. To date, scholarships have been distributed to 1000 student beneficiaries.

2. NaMo Vidyakendra - Quality Education for All
Issue: Lack of Quality Education
Tejasvi Surya's "NaMo Vidyakendra" initiative addresses the pressing issue of inadequate access to quality education. It provides free after-school coaching to Class 10 students, connecting them with experienced teachers. Currently benefiting 100 students, the program's goal is to enroll 500 underperforming students, offering them the guidance they need for academic success.

Tejasvi Surya's commitment to improving education infrastructure is evident in the ongoing transformation of Karnataka Public School Basavanagudi. 4. Nurturing Future Leaders

Youth Can Lead - The Leadership Program started by Tejasvi Surya creates a platform to empower youth and explore their potential through the intersection of grassroots-level democracy and exposure to policy-making and governance action. 300 young minds have received a glimpse of administration, fieldwork and policy analysis. The 2-month program continues to build young leaders who are working towards nation building.

Tejasvi Surya's forward-thinking approach extends to nurturing the leaders of tomorrow. He initiated the 'Bengaluru South School Leaders’ Council' in October 2022. Comprising representatives from approximately 40 top schools in the constituency, the council is responsible for organizing quarterly events on diverse topics such as the environment, sports, arts, culture, and civic responsibility. The council's efforts include the organization of events like 'Sarkari Shaala Kreedotsava' as part of MP Sports Utsava, benefiting government school children.

5. Ensuring the Safe Return of Stranded Students
Issue: Stranded students in Ukraine
During the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Tejasvi Surya played a pivotal role in coordinating the safe return of stranded Kannadiga students. Working alongside Prime Minister Narendra Modi, External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar, and Minister of Civil Aviation Sri Jyotiraditya Scindia, he ensured the repatriation of more than 149 individuals, bringing them back to safety.

6. Supporting Orphaned Children
Issue: Relief for kids orphaned due to COVID
In an act of compassion, Tejasvi Surya's 'Bengaluru South School Leaders’ Summit' in October 2022 saw the distribution of free tablets, school bags, and a year's worth of stationery to 250 school children who had lost a parent due to COVID-19.

7. Smart Classrooms for Enhanced Learning

In partnership with the Ladli Foundation, Tejasvi Surya's office is spearheading the installation of Visual Display Units and the creation of Smart Classrooms in 28 Government schools across Bengaluru South. 8. Empowering Underprivileged Children

Tejasvi Surya organized the Bengaluru South Summer Camp in May 2022, catering to children aged 10-16. This camp provided a platform for youngsters to nurture their thinking and creativity skills. With the participation of over 1,000 kids, 16 activities, 15 days, and collaboration with 14 partner organizations, the Summer Camp was a resounding success, conducted at seven different locations throughout the constituency.

In Bengaluru South, Tejasvi Surya has made it a mission to set up a maximum number of PMBJKs and alleviate the medical expenditure of the poor. While in 2019, there were 14 Janaushadhi Kendras in Bengaluru South Constituency, over the course of 3 years, the number of kendras has increased exponentially to 112 making Bengaluru the city with the highest number of these generic medicine stores in the country.

Infrastructure - Transport & MobilityPradhan Mantri Awas Yojana

Tejasvi Surya reviews the scheme aimed at achieving housing for all and making affordable housing accessible to low and moderate-income citizens across the nation. In Bengaluru South, 1,90,646 houses have been built for the urban poor with a total investment of ₹3,239 crore.
