The MP worked with the objective of vaccinating maximum of the population in the shortest span of time in Bengaluru South. The MP conducted special vaccination drives for priority sectors like garment workers, auto drivers, taxi drivers, delivery agents, slum dwellers and migrant workers. The MP pushed for the availability of vaccines in every PHC of Bengaluru South. The MP also made available vaccines in the neighbourhood nursing homes and small private hospitals to further assist the drive. The MP Office, with support from BBMP, Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) & nearby hospitals conducted more than 25 vaccination drives at apartment complexes in Bengaluru South with adherence to safety precautions. Overall, more than 80% of the population above the age of 45 and 35% of the population within the age group of 18 and 44 have at least received one dose of the vaccine in Bengaluru South.
